With apologies to any local coach or team that might have been overlooked — unintentionally — savor some of the fondest memories from a decade of great Mercer County sports.
Trenton Girls Basketball - Led by Jersey’s Player of the Year Makima Ford, the Lady Tornadoes won a Group IV state title in 2002 then repeated in ‘07 and ‘08. Won Tournament of Champions with Ford in 2002, then lost in finals in 2007 (in OT) and in 2008.
